“I started playing soccer when I was three years old, and since then I’ve always played with good sportsmanship and never gave up, no matter the situation, and most importantly I’ve always had fun playing soccer. I’ve played for club, town, and futsal teams and as the captain of my club team, I feel responsibility to encourage and motivate my team when we’re losing. I also used to play a year up for my age, and that was also a good experience because it helped me acclimate to a higher level of play which really helped improve me as a player. One of my most important qualities is my ability to be a versatile player and understand the role of each position. Because of this, my coaches have played me in every position, including goalkeeper, although I prefer to play right wing and right back. In terms of academics, I attend the #1 public school in Massachusetts, Boston Latin School, where I have a 3.9 weighted GPA and I currently take Latin Prose, AP World History, and am on the advanced math pathway as I am interested in becoming a sports statistician, and have planned my courses over the next two years accordingly to reach this goal.”
