I’m Sydney Bushman, class of 2024. I play attacking mid and holding mid for the SoCal Blues ECNL U16s. This year we are 16-2-1 including going 3-0 in both the ECNL SD Showcase and the Surf College Cup. We’ve played 2 of the #1 teams in their respective ECNL conferences, David Legacy and Solar SC (also the #1 team in the country), beating them both. We are currently ranked 2nd in the country by TDS.

As a midfielder, I excel at creative playmaking and distribution of the ball, taking out defenders with precision passing, reading play to quickly win the ball back, and making physical challenges. I value creating for my teammates, contributing assists, but I also score goals. I pride myself on being highly impactful on results and am active all over the field. I often play 2-3 positions in games, showing my versatility and high soccer IQ. My efforts continue to be be recognized by Top Drawer Soccer in the latest IMG Top 150 Players: Class of 2024 where I was ranked #83 overall, #40 midfield and #11 in SoCal. I’ve participated in the USYNT ID program.

Academically, I’m a 4.2 student at Mira Costa High School, having all A’s in my first semester in 10th grade and during 9th grade. I’m in all honors classes including advanced math and AP Euro. Last year I received a 4 on my 1st AP test. I will always excel academically. I live in Southern California with my mom and dad who were both D1 athletes and my dog Hugo. I love being active outdoors and helping others
